A small vase shaped like an owl, in cobalt blue. The wings, ears and eyes are modelled into the stoneware, and the glaze gathers in the folds. The bright blue stands out among books or next to orange and yellow.
The After Midnight collection is by Italian fashion house Marni for Serax, following the Midnight Flowers series. The vases are stoneware with the playful, slightly rough shapes typical of Marni.
This smallest owl is made for a single flower, a sprig or a few short stems. Without flowers it is a decorative object on a bookshelf, bedside table or desk. Group a few in different colours for a small family of owls. Rinse the vase with lukewarm water after use. Stoneware is heavy enough for the small vase to stand firmly, even with a longer branch.
