A small pocket knife with an orange handle that folds shut easily and slips into your trouser pocket or backpack. The blade is sharp and cuts effortlessly through fruit, sausage, cheese or string.
Pallarès Solsona is a family business from Solsona in Catalonia that has been making knives since 1917. Each knife is still largely made by hand. The simple shape has stayed the same for decades and is used in Spain by farmers, shepherds and hikers.
Take it on a picnic, a hike or to the allotment. The bright orange handle is easy to find in a bag or in the grass. Wash the knife by hand, dry it straight away and give the blade a drop of oil now and then to keep it looking good.
