The large oval Barro dish in natural terracotta, for an oven bake, a lasagne or a roast chicken with vegetables for the whole party. After the oven it goes straight onto the table, where it makes a generous centrepiece. Between meals it also looks good as a dish for fruit or bread.
The dish is made in Portugal from terracotta, in the natural colour of the clay. It is safe in the oven and the dishwasher, so it is made to be used often. Its warm, earthy tone suits both colourful and simple dishes.
Rui Pereira designed the Barro collection for Hay as an ode to the red clay of his home country. This oval dish also comes in a smaller size, and in several glazed colours and with stripes. Place several pieces from the range together on the table for a warm, personal setting.
