Fill it with olive oil or vinegar and keep it within reach while you cook. This size is a little slimmer than its big brother, making it easy to pick up with one hand while you stir with the other.
The moss green glaze on white clay has a brown edge, and the clay at the foot is left untreated. That raw band gives grip and shows what the bottle is made of. Next to a salt pot and a pepper mill it forms a small still life on the counter.
Ann Berger makes the bottles by hand in her studio AB Ceramics in Antwerp. As a pair with the bigger bottle you have one for oil and one for vinegar. A lovely gift, together with a bottle of olive oil from a small producer.
