A generous bottle for olive oil, handy if you cook a lot and don't want to refill every week. It is broad and sturdy, so it stays put on a busy counter. It also works well as a water carafe or as a vase for a few stems.
On white clay the opal glaze turns a soft light blue with a milky sheen. Where the glaze is thinner, the beige of the clay shows through. It's a fresh, light colour that looks lovely in a kitchen with white, wood and green plants.
Made by Ann Berger in her Antwerp studio AB Ceramics, where she throws and glazes every piece herself. If you prefer to keep your oil cool and dark, stoneware is a good choice. Dishwasher safe.
