A bottle for olive oil that you don't need to hide away in a cupboard. Put it next to the hob or on the table by the bread, and use the metal pourer to drizzle a thin stream over salad, pasta or roasted vegetables. Because stoneware lets no light through, the oil stays good for longer.
The bottle is thrown from toffee-coloured clay. The top shines with an opal green glaze in soft gradations, while the bottom stays natural and matt. That contrast between gloss and raw clay feels lovely in the hand and gives the bottle a warm, handmade look.
Ann Berger makes each bottle by hand in her Antwerp studio AB Ceramics, so the colour and shape vary slightly each time. Rinse the bottle with warm water when you refill it, or put it in the dishwasher without the pourer. A lovely gift for someone who loves to cook, together with a bottle of good oil.
