A fish-shaped carafe in matte frosted glass. The matte finish softens the scale pattern and gives the glass a calm, contemporary colour. For water, wine or homemade lemonade.
The fish-shaped carafe is by Paola Navone for Serax, and has become a classic since its launch in 2016. The design is inspired by the herring and made from pressed glass, a reference to the colourful glassware that was popular in the United States in the 1930s.
The matte version suits a laid table with both white and colourful tableware, and combines with the other pieces from the Fish & Fish collection. Even empty, the fish is a lovely object in an open cupboard. The matte surface shows fewer fingerprints than clear glass, so the carafe still looks neat after a dinner party.
