A smoke alarm you do not need to hide, for the ceiling of the hallway, bedroom or landing. An optical sensor checks the air with a beam of light, and as soon as smoke particles interrupt the beam, the alarm sounds. It works on its own and cannot be linked to other devices.
The smoke alarm is made of ABS in black, with a diameter of 10 cm, and the outside is covered with Gabriel fabric made from 99% recycled polyester. The built-in battery lasts 10 years, after which you replace the alarm. Ideally mount it on the ceiling, at least 50 cm from walls, doors and windows, and not right next to the kitchen, bathroom or a wood stove.
The Danish brand Jacob Jensen is known for its clean, functional design. Test the alarm regularly with the test button so you know it works.
