This black, rechargeable table lamp brings atmospheric light wherever you need it, without hunting for a socket. Put it on the dining table when the candles have burned down, on a side table next to the sofa, in the bedroom or outside on the patio on a summer evening. With the dimmer you choose how much light you want. The black looks understated and elegant, and suits both light and dark interiors.
The lamp is made of polycarbonate, sturdy and with a glossy finish that is easy to wipe clean. The light source is tucked into the shade, giving you a soft, diffused light that shines downwards and not into your eyes. Thanks to its compact size and built-in battery you can take it anywhere, and recharge it after use.
Naoto Fukasawa designed the Pao for Hay, inspired by the round Mongolian tents the lamp is named after. His designs are modest and simple, made to be used every day. Besides black, the Pao lamp comes in several other colours. It is the kind of lamp you will reach for on many evenings, indoors as well as out, whenever you want a little extra warmth around you.
