A low candleholder for a thick candle or a dinner candle, on the table, windowsill or mantelpiece. The low shape keeps the candle steady, and lets you talk across the table without anything in the way. Place a few side by side for a row of lights.
The candleholder belongs to the Hammershøi collection by Danish Kähler, named after the painter Vilhelm Hammershøi, known for his quiet, sober interiors. You can see that in the shape: simple, with fine grooves in the ceramic. The white is calm and suits any interior.
Kähler has been making ceramics in Denmark since the nineteenth century. The Hammershøi candleholders come in different heights, which you can group together for a playful difference in level. Ideal for a festive table or simply for a cosy evening.
