The name " Eugenia " honors Alberto Alessi 's winery, "La signora Eugenia e il passero solitario", whose bottles were inspired by a design by Leonardo da Vinci. Fukasawa translated this iconic bottle shape into a decanter with a distinctive line at an obtuse angle, called "Donkaku" in Japanese, which emphasizes the formal quality of the entire service.
