General terms and conditions

These conditions apply to sales via the MATRIKS website. You can also purchase a wider range of products, outside the webshop, via an e-mail request and bank transfer. In both cases, the conditions are identical; you acknowledge having read them and accept them by placing an order.

MATRIKS reserves the right to change these terms and conditions of sale at its own discretion and at any time. Therefore, it is best to check from time to time whether the conditions have been changed. When placing your order, you declare your agreement with the conditions that apply on the day of your order.

1. Order

To place an order you must be 18 years or older. You can place an order by adding the products on the MATRIKS website to your shopping cart. When proceeding to the checkout you will be asked to create an account or to fill in your existing account details, your e-mail address and password. You can enter a different delivery address. After you have placed an order and made the payment, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail. By placing an order, you make an offer to MATRIKS to purchase the products you have selected under these conditions. MATRIKS reserves the right not to accept this offer if the product is not available or the stated price is incorrect. In these, and possibly other, cases MATRIKS will contact you promptly by e-mail and, if you wish, your order can be cancelled.

Alternatively, you can submit an order request to MATRIKS by email, for special or other products, and payment can be made by bank transfer.

2. Delivery

MATRIKS delivers the products to the address you have indicated and will do everything in its power to do so under normal circumstances within 4 working days after your order or according to the delivery period as specified in the product presentation. MATRIKS will inform you if this is deviated from. MATRIKS is not liable for any delays. MATRIKS delivers in Europe.

3. Prices

Our prices include Belgian VAT and exclude delivery costs. Shipping costs, which vary per destination country, are only charged when the total amount of your order is less than € 100.00, and this for the Benelux, or when the volume of the package is very large. You will see the shipping costs, if applicable, appear in the checkout during the ordering process.
For intra-Community supplies, the 0% VAT rate applies if you provide a valid VAT number.

4. Right of return for distance selling

You have the right to cancel your purchase and have a period of 14 days from the day after receipt of the ordered goods to report this to MATRIKS. This right does not apply to the purchase of personalized products or discounted products. You can report your cancellation of your purchase by e-mail, with your order reference, to MATRIKS.

Once MATRIKS has confirmed your cancellation, you will receive a return form with instructions and you will have a period of 3 days to present the products unopened in the original packaging at a post office.

Your order will be refunded once MATRIKS has received the returned item, with the exception of the shipping costs incurred by MATRIKS. MATRIKS may refuse to refund items if the products, or the packaging, were damaged by you.

5. Payment

You can pay via Shopify Payments, bank transfer, or gift card. Your products will be shipped after your payment is approved or received.

6. Complaints

Loss and transport damage are at the expense of MATRIKS. Other complaints, such as defects or incorrectly delivered products, must be reported to MATRIKS by e-mail, stating your order reference, and no later than 14 days after receipt of the items. After your complaint has been accepted by MATRIKS, you can return the product within 3 days. MATRIKS will refund your order, including shipping costs, after receipt of the products.

7. Liability

Despite the great care that MATRIKS and its IT partners devote to the operation and content of this website, MATRIKS cannot be held liable for any damage, directly or indirectly resulting from your use of the website. MATRIKS does not guarantee the correctness, completeness or suitability of the information provided. The visitor acknowledges that the information on the website can be changed without being notified.

MATRIKS cannot under any circumstances be held liable for damage or the consequences resulting from improper use of the delivered articles.

8. Choice of law and jurisdiction

All disputes concerning the use of the website fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of the district of Antwerp. They are governed by Belgian law.
