The Toru electric citrus juicer , designed by Nendo , consists of two refined, minimalist parts: a stainless steel housing and a transparent lid.
This design demonstrates Nendo’s ability to transform abstract concepts into tangible forms. In Japanese, “toru” means “through.” In this citrus juicer, a black, tubular element seems to penetrate the lid, forming the handles and protruding from the steel body to act as a spout. This object is complex to produce, as the linear design requires a particularly challenging manufacturing process.
